Mental Health Counseling for Adolescents

Your child is on the verge or is already facing the unique challenges that arise during adolescence. Possibly, like a lot of other teens, they may be experiencing these distinct factors without the necessary internal and external support and skills for success. Often you can both feel helpless in knowing how to move forward. This is where our relationship begins!

I will work to guide your teenager to improve their self-regulation, increase their confidence, and encourage their success. Our time together will end with them being able to cope with large emotions, challenge negative thoughts, assertively communicating their needs, and establishing healthy boundaries and relationships. Please, allow your child to approach the next stage in their life with hope and confidence in their abilities.

Let’s talk today to bring hope for tomorrow!

How our Counseling helps

  • You have the freedom and support to authentically express yourself. I will create a safe and secure space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, helping you move forward in your treatment with confidence and self-acceptance.

  • You will be given compassionate support and experienced guidance as you learn and practice valuable coping strategies. Together, we will explore and develop problem solving strategies to navigate both common and unexpected (overwhelming) stressors you face.

  • You will understand the impact that assertive communication and how it can positively transform interactions. You will then have the confidence to express your thoughts, feelings, and needs first in session, then to your everyday life. I aim to provide you the unique opportunity to assert yourself in session when my techniques or approaches fail to meet your needs

  • You will have unconditional support as you process your relationships. You will feel safe with me to develop stronger connections, establish boundaries, mend past wounds, or even ending an unhealthy relationship.

  • You have begun to seek your independence, yet have come to therapy seeking assistance with a challenging aspect of your life. I respect both aspects and understand their delicate nature. So, instead of simply telling you what to do to make changes, I will compassionately provide support and collaboration for your to meet the goals established.
